CityUHK Triumphs with 17 Awards at the 5th Asia Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions in Hong Kong

City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) has reported notable success at the 5th Asia Exhibition of Innovations & Inventions (AEII) in Hong Kong, securing a total of 17 awards. The accolades comprise one Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury Award, six Gold Medals, seven Silver Medals, and three Bronze Medals. This achievement highlights the university’s strong emphasis on innovative research within both Asia and the global context.
Recognition from University Leadership
Professor Michael Yang Mengsu, Senior Vice-President for Innovation and Enterprise at CityUHK, recognized the accomplishments of the awarded teams and noted that several start-ups from the HK Tech 300 initiative received recognition as well. He remarked that the university’s efforts to support these start-ups are enhancing the practical applications of research outcomes for societal benefits.
Exhibition Overview
The exhibition, held from December 4 to 5, showcased 137 innovative projects from various regions, illustrating CityUHK’s interdisciplinary research capabilities to an international audience. This event served as a platform for experts and inventors to present their innovative solutions.
