AlmaU Management Conference Examines Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, and Sustainable Development

Almaty Management University (AlmaU) hosted the First International AlmaU Management Conference on May 5, 2026, bringing together academics, business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore the future of management in an era shaped by artificial intelligence, sustainability, and global uncertainty.
The conference focused on emerging leadership models, ESG integration, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence in business and society. Addressing participants, AlmaU Rector Timur Buldybaev emphasized the university’s mission to create an intellectual ecosystem that connects education, research, and entrepreneurship to drive meaningful societal transformation.
The plenary session featured international experts discussing ethical AI, sustainable development, and talent-driven innovation. Speakers highlighted the importance of balancing technological advancement with responsibility, human values, and long-term strategic vision. Discussions also explored the transition from traditional management frameworks to adaptive leadership approaches suitable for the BANI environment.
Specialized panel discussions examined AI-driven business transformation, ESG and corporate governance, and leadership strategies in times of instability. Participants also attended practical workshops on urban data analytics, video-based mobility analysis, and neuromarketing tools.
The conference strengthened collaboration between academia and industry while providing a platform for exchanging innovative ideas and developing future-oriented management strategies that integrate technology, sustainability, and human capital development.
