KPIT Leadership Visits IIT Bombay to Strengthen Innovation Collaboration

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) welcomed a delegation of senior leaders from KPIT Technologies on 10 July 2026 as part of the KPIT Maestros Leadership Development Programme. The visit provided participants with an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the Institute’s research excellence, innovation ecosystem, and entrepreneurial initiatives while exploring opportunities for future collaboration.
During the engagement, the delegation met with Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (Academics, Research and Translation), and Prof. Shrikrishna V. Kulkarni, Dean (Research & Development). They highlighted IIT Bombay’s multidisciplinary research strengths, its culture of innovation, and the critical role of partnerships between academia and industry in driving technological advancement and societal impact.
The programme also included visits to BharatGen and the Drone Lab, where participants observed ongoing research projects and emerging technologies through interactive demonstrations. The delegation later toured the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), gaining first-hand exposure to IIT Bombay’s thriving startup ecosystem and initiatives that support technology commercialization and entrepreneurship.
The visit fostered productive discussions on innovation, advanced technologies, and collaborative research opportunities. By bringing together academic expertise and industry leadership, the engagement reinforced a shared commitment to accelerating innovation, strengthening industry–academia partnerships, and translating cutting-edge research into practical solutions that address real-world challenges.
