ACEM Releases AI Declaration Outlining 10 Principles for Business Talent Development in the AI Era

Antai College of Economics and Management (ACEM) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has released The Antai Declaration on Business Talent Cultivation in the AI Era, outlining 10 principles to guide business education and talent development amid rapid advances in artificial intelligence.

Released on 29 July 2026, the Declaration responds to the growing impact of AI on business operations and higher education. It emphasises the need for business schools to strengthen human capabilities that cannot be replaced by AI, including critical thinking, logical reasoning, creativity, ethical judgment and complex problem-solving.

The 10 principles cover learning, theoretical understanding, problem-oriented education, interdisciplinary competency, evolving teaching roles, innovative pedagogy, differentiated AI integration, balanced assessment, value-based education and ethical responsibility.

ACEM is also expanding its “AI + Business” education ecosystem through curriculum reform, practical training and collaboration with industry partners. Initiatives include AI-enabled courses, an AI Learning Center, the One-Person Company (OPC) talent development model and industry-focused programmes designed to equip students with practical AI and business skills.

The Declaration reflects ACEM’s broader efforts to integrate artificial intelligence with economics and management education while maintaining human-centred values. The college plans to continue curriculum development, research and international collaboration to advance responsible and future-ready business education.
