Chula Students Win Thailand’s New Gen Inventors Award 2025

Chulalongkorn University students, alongside peers from Satit Chula Demonstration School, have been recognized with the “Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2025,” specifically the “I-New Gen Award 2025.” The awards were presented at the Youth Invention Competition held on February 6, 2025, during Inventors’ Day 2025, which was organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT).

Secondary School Level Achievements

In the Secondary School Level category, the winning project, titled the Bio-Eco Rock Development (BERD) Project, secured the first prize and a gold medal. Team members included Thipok Tangsiripat, Alisa Traiwittayakorn, and Pattarapol Wanichwattana from Chula Demonstration Secondary School, with guidance from advisor Ajarn Komed Nachaeng.

Elementary School Level Highlights

For the Elementary School Level, the WASEN Project, which emphasizes agriculture and the environment, was awarded first runner-up and also received a gold medal. This project was created by students Piriya Wongpiwat, Pirada Wongpiwat, Supanat Kulhiran, and Jet Kulhiran from Chula Demonstration Elementary School, under the mentorship of Ajarn Jeerasak Jitrotjanarak.

Additionally, the Happy Pill Dispenser, an automatic pill dispenser controlled via a mobile application, achieved a silver medal in the same category. The team behind this project, Nathan Chalokepunrat and Nakant Chalokepunrat, also hailed from Chula Demonstration Elementary School, with support from advisor Ajarn Jeerasak Jitrotjanarak.

University Level Projects

Within the University Level category, projects such as “SandStory: Souvenir-making for Learning About Ancient Sites,” and “Quet Muse: Exploring Ancient Sukhothai Treasures,” were awarded gold medals. Another project, “Aquakey: Marine Conservation for Eco-Tourism,” earned a silver medal. These initiatives were developed by students from the Faculty of Education, with assistance from advisor Asst. Prof. Dr. Soamshine Boonyananta.

The awards highlight the innovative capabilities and practical skills of the participating students, showcasing their commitment to societal advancement through invention and creativity.
