Three ITB Pharmacy Students Awarded International Title at IPSF Industrial Skills Event 2025
A team of students from the School of Pharmacy at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) achieved first place in the advanced category of the IPSF Industrial Skills Event 2025, which took place virtually on July 13, 2025.
Team Composition
The team, known as Team 12A, consisted of three members: Catharina Keisha Siswanto, Hannaya Putri Rahmadhani, and Edlysia Honesta, all of whom are enrolled in the Pharmacy Science and Technology program, Class of 2022. The IPSF Industrial Skills Event is a global competition designed for pharmacy students, where participants analyze real-world case studies related to the pharmaceutical industry. This year’s final round concentrated on formulation challenges in cosmetic product manufacturing, reflecting recent trends within the beauty industry.
Presentation and Strategies
In their presentation, Team 12A applied their academic knowledge to address the case study focused on cosmetics. They created a comprehensive pitch deck that proposed solutions to the formulation challenges and outlined marketing strategies aimed at reintroducing the product to the market. Their strategy included identifying core issues, utilizing consumer personas, and conducting a detailed market analysis.
Preparation Process
Preparation for the competition involved significant effort, including offline meetings for proposal development and online collaboration to finalize the pitch deck, which encompassed scripting and rehearsal for the presentation. Team members underscored the significance of individual brainstorming, followed by group discussions, to ensure that their plan met the criteria established in the scoring rubric.

One team member noted that their success was attributed to the originality and depth of their presentation, which featured narratives on consumer personas to support their proposed strategies. The effective delivery and analytical depth of Team 12A distinguished them from other competitors in the event.
