Joint Research under academic cooperation between Faculty of Law, Thammasat University and Faculty of Law, University of Franche-Comté, France
Faculty of Law, Thammasat University and the Faculty of Law, University of Franche-Comté, France have conducted joint research on the topic “No-fault Compensation for medical injury and healthcare: a study of the French and Thai systems. (L’indemnisation des accidents médicaux non fautive en France et en Thaïlande)” The researcher was Assoc.Prof.Dr. Niramai Phitkhae Manjit, Associate Dean of Thammasat University, Lampang Campus; and Amanda Dubuis, Lecturer at University of Franche-Comté.
Academic cooperation between these two institutions began in June 2017. The executives of the Faculty of Law led by Prof.Dr. Udom Rathaamarit, who was the Dean of the Faculty of Law at that time, signed an academic agreement with the University of Franche-Compté (UFC) in Besançon, France, where both institutions agreed to exchange faculty members and conduct joint research.
In July 2020, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Niramai Phitkhae Manjit attended a seminar organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Franche-Comté, France regarding no-fault compensation systems presented by the final-year undergraduate students, doctoral students, researchers and university lecturers.
In May 2021, the seminar of the afore mentioned research topic was organized. Currently, such research has been completed.
