Seminar Highlights Higher Study Pathways in USA and Japan at World University of Bangladesh

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at the World University of Bangladesh successfully organized a seminar titled “Higher Studies in the USA and Japan: Opportunities, Challenges, and Preparation” on June 30, 2026, bringing together students and faculty members interested in global academic pathways.
The session featured Protik Barua, Lecturer in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering and a PhD researcher at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He delivered an insightful presentation on international higher education opportunities, scholarship options, research prospects, and effective strategies for academic and career preparation abroad. His talk provided practical guidance for students aspiring to pursue advanced studies in the United States and Japan.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. M. Nurul Islam, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the World University of Bangladesh, as Chief Guest. The session was presided over by Farhan Mahbub, Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, who emphasized the importance of global exposure in engineering education.
The department extended sincere appreciation to all contributors, including deans, the registrar, faculty members, department heads, students, and the MTE Club, for their active participation and support in making the seminar a success.
