DLSU KIST Park Showcases Growth and Partnerships at Open House Event

De La Salle University hosted the DLSU KIST Park Open House and Networking Event at its Laguna Campus on May 7, bringing together partners from industry, government, academe, civic organizations, and the student community to strengthen collaboration in research and innovation.
In his welcome address, DLSU President Br. Bernard Oca FSC emphasized the role of the KIST Park as a platform where academic research is transformed into real-world solutions through strong cross-sector partnerships. He highlighted its mission to connect ideas, institutions, and industries in driving meaningful societal impact.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of agreements with two major industry partners: AstraZeneca and D.M. Consunji Technical Training Center, Inc. (DMCTTCI). These partnerships will establish dedicated innovation hubs within the KIST Park.
AstraZeneca will launch the AZ-Health Innovation Hub, focusing on clinical research, training, education, and serving as a center for lung cancer initiatives and healthcare innovation. Meanwhile, DMCTTCI will develop a construction-focused training and research hub aimed at bridging the gap between academic theory and industry practice, while promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event was attended by representatives from national agencies including PEZA, DOST, DICT, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underscoring broad institutional support.
The DLSU KIST Park, the first of its kind in a Philippine private university, integrates academia, industry, and government to advance sustainable innovation.
