Chula Day Care: Promoting Happy Retirement Services for Seniors in Year Two

Chulalongkorn University has reaffirmed its commitment to elderly care by continuing its “Chula Day Care: Caring for Seniors for a Happy Retirement” program, which is now in its second year. This initiative aims to provide daytime care services for seniors who are related to university employees. Operating under the Chula Preventive Health Care initiative, the program emphasizes a person-centered approach to care.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony for the new season was held on March 11, 2026, at the Center for Health and Well-being Promotion for Older People, located within the Faculty of Nursing. The event featured attendance from university faculty, including Prof. Dr. Kanaphon Chanhom, Vice President, and Mr. Pokai Sriratanobhas, Assistant to the President.
Program Activities
The program offers various activities that promote self-care, cognitive stimulation, muscle-strengthening exercises, and holistic health consultations for seniors and their families. Additionally, the center functions as a learning hub for caregivers of elderly individuals, providing them with essential knowledge and skills for effective caregiving. This initiative seeks to improve the quality of life for older adults and create a supportive environment within the aging community.
