Chulalongkorn University and Founder Institute Unveil “Go Global Startup Bootcamp” for Thai Startups

Chulalongkorn University has announced a collaboration with the Founder Institute (FI) from the United States to initiate the “Empowering Innovation Businesses for Global Expansion (Go Global Startup Bootcamp): Chula – DC Silicon Startup Bridge” program. This initiative seeks to assist Thai startups in accessing international markets.

Program Introduction

The program was introduced during an orientation event held on December 18-19, 2025, with Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, leading the opening ceremony. Professor Dr. Pornanong Aramwit, Vice President of the university, presented the details of the project at the event, convened in Room 103 of the Chalermrajkumari 60th Anniversary Building.

Panel Discussion

The bootcamp features a panel discussion entitled “Winning Go-to-Market Strategy for Global Scale,” which includes several notable speakers. These speakers are Mr. Guc Ozenci, Managing Director of the Founder Institute’s Washington, D.C. chapter; Mr. Chonchayong Trairatkeyoon, CEO and Founder of INCREDEBLE Juice, Inc.; and Professor Dr. Jittima Luckanagul, Director of the Chulalongkorn University Innovation Hub.

Significance of the Program

In his remarks, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat underscored the significance of the program in providing Thai startups with opportunities for international exposure. He emphasized that the collaboration with the Founder Institute is intended to connect these startups to Silicon Valley, thereby enhancing global engagement with innovation and positioning Thailand as a contributor to high-quality innovations that could generate revenue.

Partnership Impact

Mr. Guc Ozenci noted the potential impact of this partnership, indicating that it would promote an advanced technology ecosystem and grant Thai startups access to the U.S. market by utilizing the Founder Institute’s extensive network of 8,000 companies.

Participation and Goals

The bootcamp will involve 33 selected startup teams from across the country, including spin-offs from Chulalongkorn University, focusing on their transformation into innovation-driven enterprises suited for global expansion. Two of the top-performing teams will be chosen to participate in the DC Startup & Tech Week in the United States.
