UNU Global Health and UCSI University Launch Five-Year Partnership

UNU Global Health and UCSI University have signed a new five-year agreement to strengthen collaboration in education, research and capacity building, supporting efforts in science diplomacy, science policy, innovation, global health and sustainable development.
The agreement was signed in Kuala Lumpur as part of UNU Global Health’s 20th anniversary celebrations. The partnership will bring together expertise from both institutions to address complex global and regional challenges through interdisciplinary education and research.
Key areas of collaboration include the Master in Science Diplomacy and Master of Science Policy & Communication programmes. UNU Global Health will contribute academic expertise while the partnership will also support joint training, postgraduate research supervision, collaborative research and policy engagement.
The agreement will create additional opportunities for students, researchers and academics to work across institutional and disciplinary boundaries, strengthening knowledge exchange and regional engagement.
UNU Global Health Director Dr. Revati Phalkey highlighted the importance of preparing future leaders with the skills to navigate an increasingly interconnected world and translate evidence and knowledge into meaningful action.
UCSI University President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeritus Datuk Ts Ir Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir described the agreement as the beginning of a long-term partnership with opportunities spanning research, policy dialogue, capacity building and knowledge exchange.
The collaboration marks a new chapter in efforts to connect science, policy and global health for sustainable development in Malaysia and beyond.
