Hosts SRC Leadership Camp 2026 to Build Future Student Leaders

The Centre for Student Affairs and Alumni (CSAA) successfully organised the SRC Leadership Camp 2026 from 25 to 27 June 2026 at Himalaya Camp in Gopeng, Perak. The three-day programme brought together 20 members of the Student Representative Council (SRC) and seven CSAA staff members for an engaging leadership development experience.
Designed to nurture well-rounded student leaders, the camp combined interactive leadership workshops with experiential outdoor activities. Participants took part in team-building exercises, problem-solving challenges, and collaborative tasks that strengthened communication, resilience, critical thinking, adaptability, and confidence. The programme encouraged students to step beyond their comfort zones while building trust and cooperation among peers.
One of the highlights of the camp was a leadership sharing session by Madam Alia Hanim titled Leading with the AIU 5As Core Values. Her presentation inspired participants to embrace the University’s core values in their leadership journey, emphasising integrity, empathy, accountability, and service to the student community. CSAA expressed its appreciation to Madam Alia Hanim for her valuable insights and motivating session.
The camp concluded with participants gaining renewed enthusiasm, stronger leadership capabilities, and a deeper appreciation of their responsibilities as student representatives. Through initiatives such as the SRC Leadership Camp 2026, AIU continues to empower future leaders with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to make meaningful contributions to the University and society.
