Tuesday, 29th April was a special day for Sunway University as the campus was graced by the presence of His Excellency Shikata Noriyuki, the Ambassador-designate of Japan to Malaysia. H.E. Shikata Noriyuki was shown around the campus and attended a meeting where Tan Sri Sir Dr Jeffrey Cheah was also present. During the meeting, he was given an introduction to both Sunway University and the Sunway Group as a whole. Potential avenues of collaboration with Japanese institutions were also explored, including collaborations in the tourism and hospitality sector, sustainability initiatives, and joint research.
Sunway University is immensely proud to have served as the host for this visit, which serves as a promising step forward in strengthening educational ties between Japan and Malaysia, paving the way for impactful collaborations in the years to come.
