Four Vietnamese universities attain international quality accreditation
On June 14, in Da Nang City, four prestigious Vietnamese universities were awarded international accreditation certificates by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) of the French Republic.
These institutions include Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Science and Technology – Ho Chi Minh City National University, Da Nang University of Science and Technology, and Hanoi University of Civil Engineering.
The accreditation is valid from 2024 to 2029, affirming their excellence in research training.
In 2017, these universities were the first in Vietnam to receive HCERES accreditation for five years, which was extended until the end of 2023.
Preparing for re-accreditation, the institutions developed self-assessment reports aligned with the new HCERES standards, encompassing governance and administration, scientific research and innovation policy, and education policy, along with learners and the learning environment.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son, present at the ceremony, commended the universities for their continuous efforts. He noted that the accreditation reflects not only their adherence to international standards in management, learner support, and scientific research but also their commitment to further enhancing quality and efficiency in education and societal service.
