Ankara University and TÜSEB Sign Cooperation Protocol to Advance Health Research and Innovation
Ankara University and the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) have signed a cooperation protocol to strengthen research, development, and innovation in healthcare and biomedical fields. The agreement aims to support joint R&D and product development initiatives across areas including cancer research, clinical studies, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, artificial intelligence, biomaterials, medical imaging systems, and diagnostic technologies.
The signing ceremony was held at Ankara University’s Cebeci Research and Application Hospital campus, attended by Ankara University Rector Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar, TÜSEB President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kervan, university administrators, faculty representatives, and healthcare professionals.
Prof. Ünüvar highlighted the importance of collaboration between national institutions to develop locally produced healthcare solutions and strengthen Türkiye’s capacity for self-sufficiency in health technologies. He emphasized that partnerships with organizations such as TÜSEB would accelerate the transformation of scientific research into practical products benefiting society.
Prof. Kervan noted that TÜSEB was established to support and coordinate health-focused R&D, innovation, and commercialization activities. He stressed the importance of cooperation among universities, industry, and public institutions in creating successful healthcare solutions.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Hakan Akbulut introduced Ankara University’s AnkaTheraHub Center for Innovative Diagnostic and Therapeutic Product Development, highlighting its role in advancing original healthcare technologies.
Following the signing ceremony, participants visited AnkaTheraHub to learn more about its research infrastructure and ongoing initiatives.
