The award-winning startup, PanFa Technologies, is an innovative agricultural technology platform designed to help rice farmers improve water management while reducing environmental impact. The solution integrates satellite data, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and IoT-enabled smart irrigation systems to automate the Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) method in rice cultivation.

Through its technology, PanFa Technologies can help farmers reduce methane emissions by up to 50 percent and lower water consumption by 30 percent. The platform also supports farmers in accessing carbon credit opportunities and sustainable agriculture certification programs, creating additional income streams while promoting environmentally responsible farming practices.

This international recognition highlights the potential of young Thai innovators to address global challenges and underscores CSII’s commitment to nurturing future entrepreneurs, technologists, and sustainability leaders through interdisciplinary education and real-world innovation.
