MMU Earns National Recognition for Advancing Malaysia’s Digital Ecosystem Through Strategic Collaboration, Cybersecurity Awareness, and .MY Domain Advocacy
Multimedia University (MMU) has received national recognition for its impactful collaboration with MYNIC Berhad, an agency under the Ministry of Digital, in strengthening Malaysia’s digital ecosystem and promoting national digital identity. The recognition was presented during a high-level seminar on quantum computing and internet security in Putrajaya, where MMU’s contributions to cybersecurity awareness and digital infrastructure development were acknowledged. Represented by Ts. Mohamad Firdaus Mat Saad, the university was honoured by Gobind Singh Deo, underscoring its role in supporting national digital transformation initiatives. Through initiatives such as promoting the adoption of .MY domains and engaging students in discussions on domain name systems and internet governance, MMU continues to bridge academia, industry, and government. These efforts highlight the university’s growing national influence and its commitment to fostering digital literacy, innovation, and secure online ecosystems in Malaysia.
