University of Kurdistan Strengthens Support for International Students Through Faculty Dialogue

The University of Kurdistan convened a joint meeting between its Office of International Affairs and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences to strengthen support for international students and advance the university’s internationalization agenda. Held on July 12, 2026, the session formed part of a series of collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing the academic and campus experience of non-Iranian students.

The meeting was hosted by Dr. Bakhtiar Javaheri, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and attended by Dr. Hossein Bevrani, Director of International Affairs, Dr. Hemen Noorbakhsh, Director of International Students, along with vice-deans, department heads, and faculty council members.

Opening the discussion, Dr. Javaheri highlighted the importance of addressing the academic, cultural, and social needs of international students to ensure their success and integration within the university community. Dr. Bevrani commended the faculty’s commitment to supporting international education and acknowledged the vital role of academic departments in admissions, teaching, and student guidance.

Participants exchanged insights on current challenges, shared experiences, and proposed practical measures to improve services and learning outcomes for international students. The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session and a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between the International Affairs Office and academic faculties, reinforcing the university’s efforts to build an inclusive and globally engaged learning environment.
