Strengthening Global Links: ENU and Japan’s Top Universities

A delegation from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU), led by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbay, visited University of Tokyo and University of Tsukuba to strengthen academic and research collaboration. The delegation also included Erik Nurmoldin, Director of the Institute of Physics and Technology, and Kassym Zhumadilov, Head of the International Department of Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies.
During the visit, ENU representatives met with faculty members to discuss future cooperation. Key focus areas included joint research projects, the establishment of shared laboratories, and the development of international academic programmes.
The discussions also covered academic mobility opportunities for students and staff, including internships and exchange programmes. Both sides emphasised the importance of collaborative research in advancing science, training highly skilled professionals, and integrating advanced technologies into the economy.
The visit marks a significant step in enhancing ENU’s global partnerships and expanding its academic and research capabilities.
