Driving Sustainability Through Digital Transformation and Innovation: Insights from the ESG Talk at Multimedia University

On January 24, 2025, the Learning Institute for Empowerment (LIfE) at Multimedia University (MMU) conducted a talk focusing on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. The event featured Puan Nurasyikin Rosni, General Manager of Sustainability at Telekom Malaysia (TM). Her presentation, titled “The Digital Revolution and the Environment: A Symbiotic Relationship,” emphasized the role of digital transformation in promoting sustainability through the implementation of smart technologies, green energy solutions, and eco-friendly practices.

Event Details and Attendance

The talk took place at Dewan Tun Canselor and was attended by Prof. Dato’ Mazliham Muhd Su’ud, President of MMU, Dr. Ong Sue Lyn, Director of LIfE, and 2,049 students from various faculties, indicating a strong interest in environmental issues among the student body. Puan Nurasyikin highlighted the importance of harmonizing technological advancements with environmental stewardship to foster a sustainable future.
