Thammasat University and SCG Collaborate to Promote Environmental Conservation Through Internship Programme

Students from Thammasat University have gained hands-on experience in environmental conservation through the SCG Excellent Internship Programme, combining professional learning with community-focused sustainability initiatives.

On 19 June 2026, participating students joined the activity “Reviving Water, Creating Forests, Developing Quality of Life” at Ban Tham Tao, Tha Khlor, Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi Province. The initiative brought together 50 Thammasat University students and more than 200 students from other educational institutions to promote environmental awareness and practical learning. Participants were also assessed and awarded academic credits through the course MTH.287 Learning from Practice 3.

As part of the programme, students visited the SCGP Inspired Solutions Studio at Siam Packaging Group Co., Ltd. (SPP), Navanakorn Factory, where they explored innovation development processes and industrial operations before taking part in conservation activities.

The students contributed to natural resource restoration efforts, including watershed reforestation, expanding green areas, and building check dams to improve water retention, reduce erosion, and support local ecosystems. These activities also help strengthen water security for communities by supporting sustainable water management for agriculture and daily use.

Through collaboration with local communities, the programme provides students with valuable practical knowledge while encouraging environmental responsibility, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development. The initiative reflects Thammasat University and SCG’s commitment to nurturing future leaders who can contribute to a greener and more sustainable society.
