Strategic MOU Signed Between Ateneo de Manila University, Municipality of Paracelis, and Civika LLC
Ateneo de Manila University has entered into a new partnership with the Municipality of Paracelis and Civika LLC through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on education, governance innovation, and sustainable community development.
The agreement establishes a collaborative framework that promotes research, public sector innovation, sustainability initiatives, and capacity-building programs. Through this partnership, the institutions aim to strengthen local governance while encouraging knowledge sharing and experiential learning opportunities between academic institutions and local communities.
Key initiatives under the MOU include joint research projects on governance, climate resilience, sustainable development, and digital transformation. The collaboration will also provide training and professional development programs for local government officials and community leaders. In addition, students from Ateneo de Manila University will have opportunities to participate in applied research and community-based projects in Paracelis.
The MOU was signed by University President Fr Roberto C Yap, SJ, Paracelis Mayor Dr Marcos Ayangwa, and Civika LLC representative Elmer Soriano. Ateneo Intellectual Property Office officials also attended the ceremony, highlighting the university’s commitment to innovation, research, and community engagement.
