Narxoz University and Xi’an Jiaotong University Enhance International Collaboration in Personnel Training and Exchange Programs
Narxoz University and Xi’an Jiaotong University have recently conducted a working meeting to strengthen their international collaboration in personnel training and exchange programs. This engagement involved prominent experts and leaders from both institutions.
Delegation Representation
The delegation from Xi’an Jiaotong University included Vice President Shen Zhiwei, Professor Wu Feng from the School of Journalism and New Media, Professor Sofia Ushurua from the School of Law, and Pei Rui from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange. Representing Narxoz University were Aigerim Raimzhanova, Vice President for Development and International Affairs; Ermek Chukubaev, Associate Professor and Head of the International Relations educational program; Gulmira Sultenbaeva, Professor and Head of the Political Mass Communications educational program; and Asiya Kuzembayeva, Associate Professor and Head of the Master’s program in Modeling and Forecasting in International Relations Using Big Data.
Meeting Discussions
The discussions at the meeting centered on current trends, challenges, and innovative strategies for specialist training, along with potential collaborative research opportunities in the fields of international relations and media communications. A significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement to initiate several joint activities.
Joint Activities and Future Plans
These include the participation of students from Xi’an Jiaotong University in a Summer School at Narxoz University, scheduled from July 5 to 15, 2025. Furthermore, students and faculty from Narxoz University will attend the Winter School of Journalism and Communication at the School of Law and Public Administration in Almaty, set for February 26 to 28, 2025.
Goals of Collaboration
This collaboration aims to generate new educational opportunities for students, broaden their international perspectives, foster cultural dialogue, and lay the groundwork for joint research initiatives in relevant fields of study.
