University of Tsukuba 2024 Research Presentations by Doctoral Students Awarded SPRING and BOOST Programs
The University of Tsukuba conducted a research presentation event for doctoral students who received support through the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) programs, SPRING and BOOST. The event was held on December 5 and 6, 2024, at the Tsukuba International Congress Center.
Objective of the Event
The event aimed to highlight the research projects of nearly 400 students associated with the JST’s “Support for Pioneering Research Initiated by the Next Generation (SPRING)” program and the “Broadening Opportunities for Outstanding Young Researchers and Doctoral Students in Strategic Areas (BOOST)” program.
Participation and Engagement
In addition to the SPRING and BOOST awardees, the event featured participation from doctoral research fellows affiliated with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and TRiSTAR Fellows from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The two-day program included various presentations and discussions.
Workshops and Networking
Furthermore, the event encompassed a workshop dedicated to researchers’ well-being and a networking session designed to facilitate interactions between students and industry representatives. This component aimed to promote collaboration and information sharing among participants from various fields.
