XJTU and Kasetsart University Forge Strategic Cooperation Agreement
On October 29, 2024, a delegation from Kasetsart University (KU) in Thailand visited Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) to discuss collaboration and formalize a partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
Meetings and Discussions
The visit, initiated by Shan Zhiwei, vice-president of XJTU, included a welcome for Nuchanata Mungkung, vice-president of KU, and her team. During the meeting, representatives from both universities outlined their academic structures and expressed a mutual interest in enhancing cooperation, especially in areas such as cultural exchanges and the mobility of faculty and students.
About Kasetsart University
Kasetsart University, established in 1943, is recognized as Thailand’s first agricultural university and is the third-oldest university in the country. It operates five campuses, with the main campus located in Bangkok. The university encompasses 33 faculties, three colleges, four research institutes, and 18 research stations throughout Thailand. While it is particularly noted for its strengths in agriculture and forestry, KU has also expanded its academic offerings in various other disciplines, including engineering, humanities, social sciences, economics, and business administration.
