Organized by the Periodicals Publishing House and XJTU Press, the delegation’s itinerary included visits to prominent universities such as Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Tashkent State Transport University, and Tashkent State Technical University.
Visit to Al-Farabi Kazakh National University
Upon arrival at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on October 7, the delegation was welcomed by Erkin Duisenov, the first vice-rector. A meeting took place to explore potential collaborations between the two institutions, with both parties expressing a positive outlook on future partnerships.
Establishing a China-Kazakhstan Publishing Center
The following day included discussions focused on establishing a China-Kazakhstan Publishing Center and enhancing journal cluster cooperation. These discussions led to the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement. The delegation also visited a private publishing house in Almaty to gain insights into the local publishing and distribution landscape.
Tashkent State Transport University Engagement
On October 10, the delegation continued its visit at Tashkent State Transport University in Uzbekistan, where they met with Abdulaziz Gulyamov, the first vice-rector, along with other key figures, including the head of a publishing house and the director of the journal center. This meeting also concluded with the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement. The delegation further explored the National Library of Uzbekistan and various bookstores to assess book management practices and market conditions.
Final Discussions at Tashkent State Technical University
The visit concluded on October 11 at Tashkent State Technical University, where discussions were held regarding journal development and the establishment of a China-Uzbekistan Publishing Center. Negotiations at this institution resulted in yet another strategic cooperation agreement.
