Team Cardinal One Partners with Kinmo PW (UNI-T) for Shell Eco-marathon 2027 Campaign
Mapúa University’s Team Cardinal One has partnered with Kinmo PW (UNI-T) in preparation for the Shell Eco-marathon 2027, reinforcing the university’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and engineering excellence. The collaboration strengthens ties between academia and industry while providing students with practical experience in developing next-generation sustainable mobility solutions.
As the team’s official Gold Sponsor, Kinmo PW (UNI-T) is contributing equipment and technical support to assist in the design, fabrication, testing, and integration of Team Cardinal One’s competition vehicles. The partnership will support the development of an electric prototype vehicle focused on energy efficiency, lightweight construction, and advanced engineering for the international competition.
A key project for the 2027 campaign is the creation of a new Battery Electric prototype that aims to improve aerodynamic performance and demonstrate innovative approaches to sustainable transportation. Through the project, students gain valuable hands-on experience in engineering design, manufacturing, systems integration, and project management, further enhancing their industry readiness.
The collaboration also promotes industry engagement through branding opportunities, technical content, and outreach activities during the competition season. By combining academic expertise with industry support, Mapúa University and Kinmo PW (UNI-T) are fostering student innovation, advancing sustainable engineering, and showcasing Filipino talent on the global stage through the Shell Eco-marathon.
