MMU Strengthens Malaysia–France Higher Education Ties During French Ambassador’s Visit

Multimedia University (MMU) welcomed His Excellency Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Malaysia, to its Cyberjaya campus in a visit that underscored the shared commitment of Malaysia and France to advancing higher education collaboration. The Ambassador was received by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, alongside members of the University’s senior management team.

During the engagement, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham presented an overview of MMU’s academic excellence, research capabilities, innovation ecosystem, and strategic internationalisation initiatives. The discussion highlighted the university’s commitment to expanding global partnerships that enhance teaching, research, and knowledge exchange.

Ambassador Marc Abensour addressed the gathering, emphasising the vital role of higher education in fostering stronger bilateral ties between Malaysia and France. Both parties explored opportunities for collaboration in key areas, including student and academic mobility, joint research projects, innovation, and institutional partnerships that promote academic excellence and cross-cultural engagement.

Coordinated by MMU’s International Collaboration and Engagement (ICE) office, the visit provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas on emerging trends in global higher education and identifying new avenues for long-term cooperation.
