RMIT Vietnam Launches Bachelor of Computer Science to Develop Future Tech Talent

RMIT Vietnam will introduce its new Bachelor of Computer Science program from the October 2026 intake, strengthening its technology education portfolio and supporting Vietnam’s growing demand for highly skilled digital professionals.

The program arrives at a time when computer science underpins emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and intelligent systems. As Vietnam advances its digital economy ambitions, demand for specialists in these areas continues to rise across industries including finance, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and e-commerce.

To celebrate the launch, RMIT Vietnam is offering four scholarships covering 50 percent of tuition fees for students enrolling at its Hanoi and Saigon South campuses.

According to Iwona Miliszewska, the program has been redesigned for the AI era in collaboration with industry partners and RMIT Australia, ensuring graduates are equipped to work with and lead emerging technologies.

The degree combines strong theoretical foundations with practical, industry-focused learning. Students will study algorithms, data structures, networks, operating systems, AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and information security while gaining hands-on experience through internships, research projects, hackathons, and industry-linked capstone projects.

The initiative reflects RMIT’s commitment to preparing globally competitive graduates capable of driving innovation and supporting Vietnam’s digital transformation.
