HIT Welcomes Department of Foreign Expert Services Delegation to Strengthen International Cooperation

A delegation from the Department of Foreign Expert Services under China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security visited Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) on May 21 to discuss international cooperation, talent development, and academic exchange initiatives.
The delegation was led by Shi Mainan, deputy director-general of the Department of Foreign Expert Services, and included senior officials from the department and the Department of Science and Technology of Heilongjiang Province. The visitors were received by HIT Vice-President Liu Ting and university representatives.
During the meeting, Shi highlighted HIT’s strong reputation in engineering, its longstanding academic excellence, and its successful efforts in attracting and supporting international scholars and researchers. She reaffirmed the department’s commitment to supporting the university’s international partnerships, talent recruitment programs, and global research collaborations. She also encouraged HIT to continue playing a leading role in fostering international innovation and academic exchange.
Liu Ting expressed appreciation for the department’s continued support and emphasized HIT’s commitment to enhancing services for overseas experts and expanding international cooperation in education and research.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the university’s International Campus, the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Systems, and other key facilities. The tour provided insights into HIT’s research achievements, technological innovation, and ongoing efforts to strengthen its global academic presence.
