George Mason University Strengthens Regional Links with US–Korea Delegation Visit to Vietnam

George Mason University conducted a five-day delegation visit to Vietnam to strengthen academic partnerships and expand collaboration across education, research, and student engagement. The delegation, representing both its Fairfax and Korea campuses, engaged with seven Vietnamese institutions to explore student mobility, dual degree programmes, faculty exchanges, and joint research initiatives.

A key milestone was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with HUTECH University, establishing a framework for academic cooperation and student exchange. The delegation also held discussions with several universities to advance articulation pathways and collaborative programmes.

The visit further marked the launch of the Mason Korea Debate Lab–Vietnam, aimed at promoting critical thinking and global citizenship among high school students. The initiative reflects George Mason’s broader commitment to internationalisation and fostering future-ready global talent.
