MCMC Recognises MMU Students at Meet-and-Greet Session

Multimedia University (MMU) students were recognised during a meet-and-greet session held at the headquarters of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), underscoring the strong partnership between the two institutions in developing future digital talent.
The event brought together MCMC Chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din, MMU President and Chief Executive Officer Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud, representatives from the Embassy of Palestine, and senior officials from both MCMC and MMU. The session also introduced five Palestinian students currently pursuing their studies at MMU under the MCMC sponsorship programme.
The sponsored students include two from the Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI) and three from the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Engineering (FAIE), reflecting MMU’s strengths in computing, artificial intelligence, and digital technology education. The programme aims to support talented international students while fostering academic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration.
Beyond recognising the scholarship recipients, the gathering reaffirmed the longstanding collaboration between MCMC and MMU in advancing Malaysia’s digital transformation agenda. By providing educational opportunities, industry engagement, and professional development, the partnership equips students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Such initiatives also strengthen international cooperation and contribute to the development of highly skilled graduates who can make meaningful contributions to the global technology sector.
