Semmelweis University Visiting Professor Strengthens Research Collaboration at Naresuan University

Naresuan University (NU) recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Zsolt M. Lohinai from the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics, Semmelweis University, Hungary, as part of an academic exchange supported by the Pannonia Scholarship Programme of the Hungarian Government. His visit was hosted under the Reinventing University Program, funded by Thailand’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).
Prof. Dr. Lohinai was warmly received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sarintip Tantanee, President of Naresuan University, and accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peraya Puapichartdumrong, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. During his stay, he will collaborate with NU researchers on the project, “Empowering Climate Action through Green Innovation and Global Research Collaboration,” led by Dr. Kasidid Ruksakiet, a faculty member of the Faculty of Dentistry.
In addition to advancing collaborative research, Prof. Dr. Lohinai delivered a special lecture entitled “Capacity Building Program on Research Development and Proposal Writing for National and International Research Grants.” The session provided academic staff with practical strategies for developing competitive research proposals, identifying funding opportunities, and strengthening applications for both national and international grant programmes.
The visit reflects Naresuan University’s commitment to expanding global academic partnerships, promoting research excellence, and fostering international collaboration to address global challenges through innovation and knowledge exchange.
