LPU Manila and MSU–Maguindanao Formalize Strategic Partnership Through MOU Signing Ceremony

Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila and Mindanao State University–Maguindanao (MSU–Maguindanao) officially strengthened their institutional ties through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony held on June 9, 2026, at the SHL–Academic Resource Center, LPU Manila.
The agreement marks the continuation of discussions initiated during an exploratory meeting in March 2026 and reinforces both universities’ commitment to advancing academic excellence, research collaboration, innovation, and community development aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The LPU Manila delegation was led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jennifer D. Tucpi and other university officials, while MSU–Maguindanao was represented by Chancellor Dr. Bai Hejira Nefertiti M. Limbona. The MOU outlines cooperation in joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, scholarly immersion activities, community engagement, and capacity-building training.
Both institutions emphasized the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in fostering innovation and transformative education. The ceremony concluded with the formal signing and exchange of the agreement, symbolizing a shared vision to strengthen academic partnerships and promote sustainable, community-driven development across the Philippines and beyond.
