Suranaree University of Technology Achieves 7 CWIE Awards, Advancing Industry-Ready Education

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has achieved notable national recognition by receiving seven Outstanding CWIE Awards for 2026, reinforcing its strong commitment to producing high-competency graduates aligned with the needs of the modern labour market.
The awards were presented during the 16th Work-Integrated Learning (CWIE DAY) event, organised by the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in collaboration with the Lower Northern CWIE Network. The ceremony was held on June 6, 2026, at Naresuan University in Phitsanulok.
SUT was led by Acting Rector Associate Professor Dr. Sittichai Saengsathit, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Aatith Khunsrisuk, Director of the Centre for Cooperative Education and Career Development. The delegation also included CWIE faculty members, students, and partner organisations from the Lower Northeastern CWIE network, reflecting strong collaboration between academia and industry.
The seven national awards highlight the university’s excellence in implementing CWIE and work-integrated education models that combine academic learning with real-world workplace experience. This achievement demonstrates SUT’s success in developing graduates with practical skills, professional competencies, and adaptability for evolving workforce demands.
University representatives stated that the recognition reaffirms SUT’s strategic direction in strengthening partnerships with industry and enhancing student employability. The university continues to focus on producing graduates who are well-prepared for future careers and capable of contributing effectively to national and global development.
