Vice President of University College Cork Visits Beijing Normal University to Discuss Collaboration

A delegation led by Ursula Kilkelly, Vice President of University College Cork (UCC) in Ireland, visited Beijing Normal University (BNU) on January 6. The delegation was welcomed by Vice President Chen Xing, along with representatives from BNU’s Office of Development and Planning and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
Collaboration Prospects
During the meeting, Vice President Chen provided an overview of BNU’s history and strengths, emphasizing the potential for collaboration between the two institutions. He expressed hope that the visit would foster mutual understanding and lead to joint initiatives in areas such as talent development, research collaboration, and exchanges involving faculty and students.

In response, Vice President Kilkelly thanked BNU for its hospitality and shared insights into UCC’s educational strengths and academic programs. She highlighted the university’s commitment to working with Chinese institutions, articulating a desire to establish meaningful partnerships with BNU, particularly in talent cultivation and research efforts.
