AdipoLABs Expands Healthcare Innovation with New Regional Office and Partnerships with University of Cyberjaya

AdipoLABs Co., Ltd. and Red & Blue Co., Ltd., in collaboration with their Malaysian subsidiary, AdipoLABs Healthcare (M) Sdn Bhd, have inaugurated a new regional office focused on the Asia-Pacific region. This initiative aims to enhance the company’s position in non-invasive healthcare while contributing to the development of a MedTech ecosystem in Malaysia and within the ASEAN region.
Objectives and Collaborations
The company’s objectives are to advance research and development initiatives, facilitate knowledge transfer, promote collaborative projects, provide industry-standard training, and bolster preventive healthcare capabilities. As part of this expansion, two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with the University of Cyberjaya, aiming to promote healthcare innovation, clinical research, and talent development.
Internship Program
The first MoU focuses on establishing a comprehensive internship program for students enrolled in the University of Cyberjaya’s Physiotherapy program within the Faculty of Health. This program will offer six-month placements for students, which may include opportunities for permanent employment. Interns will gain practical experience through hands-on training with AdipoLABs’ Pain Bot device, enhancing their skills in pain detection and treatment. Additionally, students from the School of Biomedical Engineering will be involved in supporting AdipoLABs’ technical operations.
Client Engagement Initiative
Furthermore, AdipoLABs will introduce a client engagement initiative, placing interns at customer facilities to demonstrate the effectiveness of their devices and provide on-site support, potentially leading to future job placements. The collaboration will also encompass clinical research, with faculty and students from the University expected to conduct studies on various AdipoLABs medical technologies, contributing to scholarly publications and the scientific validation of these innovations.
Donation of Pain Bot Unit
As part of the partnership, AdipoLABs plans to donate a Pain Bot unit to the University of Cyberjaya. This contribution is intended to give students access to advanced technologies for pain detection and treatment, thereby deepening their understanding of innovative methods in musculoskeletal pain management.
Commitment to Quality and Innovation
AdipoLABs, registered with the Ministry of Health (MOH) under the Medical Device Authority (MDA), underscores its commitment to quality and innovation, aligning with the University of Cyberjaya’s aim to promote evidence-based research and healthcare solutions.
Future Healthcare Professionals
The partnership represents a significant investment in the training of future healthcare professionals, providing them with access to international-standard tools and preparing them for impactful careers in the healthcare sector. Additionally, Professor Dr. Yoo Seung-mo, the inventor of the Pain Bot, will serve as an Adjunct Professor at the University, offering expert training on the use of this technology. This collaboration seeks to effectively advance Malaysia’s healthcare innovation agenda.
