Kyushu University Fall 2025 Commencement Ceremony Highlights

On September 25, 2025, Kyushu University held its Fall 2025 Commencement ceremony at Shiiki Hall, located on the Ito Campus. During this ceremony, a total of 440 graduates were awarded degrees, including 70 bachelor’s degrees, 174 master’s degrees, 4 professional degrees, and 192 doctoral degrees.

Following the conferral of degrees, President Ishibashi addressed the graduates. His remarks included recognition of Dr. Noyuki Kawahara, an alumnus involved in medical support activities in Sudan, and highlighted the establishment of 19 alumni associations both in Japan and internationally. President Ishibashi articulated the university’s dedication to fostering relationships with its alumni, stating the importance of these connections and encouraging graduates to engage with their networks.

On behalf of the graduates, Mohamed Ragab Ahmed Mustafa Diab, a doctoral graduate from the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, expressed gratitude for the support received throughout their academic journeys. He reflected on his personal and cultural development during his studies, acknowledging the challenges faced, including adapting to new academic systems, navigating language barriers, and building relationships in a foreign environment. Diab encouraged his peers to uphold values of integrity, humility, collaboration, and resilience as they move forward.

The ceremony concluded on a celebratory note, marking an important milestone for the graduates and their families.
