Al-Madinah International University’s Fifth Convocation Ceremony: Highlights and Celebrations

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) conducted its Fifth Convocation Ceremony on September 27, 2025, with the patronage of His Highness Prince Dr. Khalid bin Bandar bin Salman Al Saud. The ceremony began with a speech by His Excellency Sheikh Prof. Dr. Saad bin Naser Alshathri, Chairman of the Board of Governors at Al-Madinah International University. In his remarks, he recognized the support of the Malaysian government for the institution and congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments. He encouraged the graduates to remain sincere and to manage their time effectively.
University President’s Address
The University President, Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ammar Bathich, subsequently addressed the audience, offering congratulations to the graduates and their families and wishing them success in their future endeavors. Following this, His Highness Prince Dr. Khalid bin Bandar officially inaugurated the ceremony, where graduates from five faculties—Faculty of Education, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Languages, Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences, and Faculty of Computer Science—received their certificates.
Graduate Representative Speech
A graduate representative delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the university administration for organizing the event and celebrating this significant milestone. Awards were presented to exemplary students across various academic levels, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees, in addition to the presentation of the Lifetime Learning Award.
Tributes to Former Leaders
The event also included tributes to His Highness Prince Dr. Bandar bin Salman Al Saud, former Chairman of the Board of Governors, for his leadership from the university’s establishment until 2019, and to Dr. Abdullah bin Saad Alarefi, former President, who served from March 2022 to April 2025.
Ceremony Attendance
The ceremony took place at the Putrajaya Marriott Hotel and was attended by over 600 participants, including graduates, family members, and friends, contributing to a festive atmosphere.
