HUST PhD Student Recognized as a ‘Promising Qingyuan Scholar’ at GAITC 2025

Jiang Yinuo, a doctoral student at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), has been honored as a “Promising Qingyuan Scholar” at the 2025 Global Artificial Intelligence Technology Conference (GAITC 2025). This recognition is part of an initiative organized by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, which selected only 15 scholars for this accolade.

Research Focus

Under the guidance of Professor Yuan Ye, Jiang’s research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare. His team has made significant contributions in the area of “AI + Medicine,” with their work published in the medical journal *NEJM AI*. The team’s research primarily addresses multi-label diagnosis of cardiac hypertrophy.

Collaborations and Innovations

In partnership with Tongji Hospital, Jiang’s team has created a comprehensive clinical dataset and developed a high-performance diagnostic model. They notably introduced a simplified 4-lead ECG method that achieves diagnostic accuracy similar to that of the conventional 12-lead system. This development has potential implications for enhancing the utility of wearable devices in medical applications.

Impact on Healthcare Technology

This recognition underscores Jiang’s contributions to the integration of artificial intelligence within healthcare and the potential impact of their innovations on medical technology.
