Multimedia University (MMU) co-hosted the National Science, Technology, and Engineering Innovation Competition (PISTEK) 2025 on February 6, 2025, in partnership with the Sports, Co-Curricular, and Arts Division (BSKK). The event concluded with the launch of the Start-Up STEM 2025 initiative, which aims to promote innovation among young individuals.
Emphasis on Collaboration and Future Innovators
During the event, MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, highlighted the university’s collaboration with the Ministry of Education and its efforts in fostering future innovators and critical thinkers. PISTEK 2025 welcomed secondary school students from across Malaysia to showcase innovative projects spanning various domains such as robotics, artificial intelligence, data science, and technology design.
A Platform for Talent Identification
The competition served as a platform for students to demonstrate their capabilities and identify potential talents that could thrive on an international scale. The simultaneous launch of Start-Up STEM 2025 is designed to assist young innovators in translating their concepts into viable business endeavors through partnerships between government agencies, educational institutions, and the private sector.

The event’s closing ceremony featured an awards presentation recognizing the creativity and innovation of participants.
