SEGi Pharmacy Students Showcase Excellence at PHARMILY Quiz Challenge 2026

The Faculty of Pharmacy at SEGi University continues to strengthen its student-centred learning environment through engaging academic activities that combine education, teamwork, and professional development. One such initiative was the Medication Quiz Competition 2026, organised by the SEGi Pharmacy Students’ Association with guidance from Ms. Rini Dinesh Sangarran, a pharmacology expert from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Held virtually on 6 May 2026 via the Wayground platform, the competition brought together pharmacy students from various academic years to test their knowledge of medications, critical thinking abilities, communication skills, and teamwork in a dynamic and interactive setting.

To encourage collaborative learning, participants were grouped into mixed teams consisting of Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students. This approach promoted peer learning, stronger connections among students, and the sharing of knowledge across cohorts within the SEGi Pharmacy community, known as the “PHARMILY.”

The winning team included Ho Yu Jie (Year 3), Ng Shen Yee (Year 2), and Chong Kar Yee (Year 1), who demonstrated exceptional teamwork and strong pharmaceutical understanding throughout the competition.

Beyond academics, the event reflected the Faculty of Pharmacy’s commitment to holistic student development by encouraging leadership, confidence, communication, and problem-solving skills. Through initiatives such as the Medication Quiz Competition, SEGi University continues to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment that prepares students to become future-ready healthcare professionals.
