MMU Strengthens Data Literacy Collaboration with DAMA Kuala Lumpur & Selangor and CADS AI

Multimedia University (MMU) has strengthened its commitment to advancing data literacy and industry collaboration through a strategic partnership with DAMA Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chapter and Centre for Applied Science Sdn. Bhd. (CADS AI).

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony was held on 4 August 2026 at MMU’s Cyberjaya campus, formalising collaboration in data literacy, professional certification, knowledge exchange and industry engagement.

The ceremony was attended by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, Datin Dr. Ts. Habsah Nordin, President of DAMA Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chapter, Ms. Sharala Devi Balakrishnan from CADS AI, and representatives from the partner organisations.

The partnership will support a campus-wide data literacy programme, MBOT-recognised certification pathways for students and lecturers, industry speaker sessions, practitioner engagement through the global DAMA network, and scholarship and funding opportunities for digital literacy initiatives.

The collaboration is also expected to provide students with greater exposure to industry practices while enabling academics and professionals to exchange expertise and pursue joint initiatives in data literacy, research, innovation and digital transformation.

MMU said the partnership reflects the shared commitment of the three organisations to developing globally competent, future-ready graduates and strengthening long-term collaboration between academia and industry.
