Australian High Commission Delegation Explores Academic and Research Collaboration with QAU
A delegation from the Australian High Commission in Pakistan visited Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, to explore opportunities for strengthening academic and research cooperation between the university and Australian institutions.
Mr. Richard Salmons and Ms. Yasmin Bottos, First Secretaries at the Australian High Commission, met with Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Vice Chancellor of QAU, for discussions on matters of mutual interest in higher education, academic partnerships and research.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on strengthening institutional linkages and expanding cooperation between QAU and universities in Australia. Discussions focused on identifying potential areas for future collaboration that could create greater opportunities for faculty and students while supporting research and knowledge exchange.
The engagement reflects the growing importance of international partnerships in advancing higher education and research. Stronger institutional connections can facilitate academic exchanges, collaborative research initiatives, capacity building and the sharing of expertise between universities and researchers across countries.
QAU and the Australian High Commission expressed interest in exploring further avenues of cooperation and developing meaningful academic partnerships. Such initiatives are expected to contribute to greater international engagement and support the university’s efforts to expand its global academic network.
