UNJ Strengthens International Partnership Through Sustainable Fashion Technopreneurship Training in Malaysia

The Faculty of Engineering (FT), Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), continues to expand its global engagement through impactful international collaboration. On 26 June 2026, the UNJ International Community Service (PkM) Team conducted the “ReDesign Canvas Training through International Collaboration for Sustainable Fashion Brand Technopreneurship” at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS), Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

The training brought together lecturers and students from UNJ and PIS to develop sustainable fashion business models using the ReDesign Canvas approach. Participants exchanged ideas and designed innovative concepts that integrate technology, creativity, sustainability, and market-oriented strategies.

The program was organized in collaboration with Norulaini Binti Mohd Ramly of PIS Malaysia, who facilitated the participation of PIS students and strengthened academic ties between the two institutions. The UNJ team was led by Rahayu Purnama, with members Vivi Radiona, Melly Prabawati, Zalfaa Khaalishah Rahmadani, and Indah Sri Lestari Solihah.

Beyond enhancing technopreneurship competencies, the initiative reinforced cross-cultural collaboration and supported the development of sustainable fashion innovation. The program also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 4, 8, 12, and 17, by promoting quality education, entrepreneurship, responsible production, and international partnerships. The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of UNJ and PIS to advancing innovative, globally competitive higher education across Southeast Asia.
