Building on AUN-QA Success, ASMPH Maps Future Directions for Continuous Improvement

The Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH) MD-MBA Program is reinforcing its commitment to continuous quality improvement following its ASEAN University Network–Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Assessment in March 2026, where it earned an overall rating of 5 (“Better than Adequate”) across all criteria.

Rather than resting on this achievement, ASMPH’s Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Team reconvened on 5 June 2026 for a strategic workshop aimed at translating assessment outcomes into actionable institutional improvements. The session emphasized that quality assurance is an ongoing process that requires continuous refinement and innovation.

The workshop opened with reflections on the program’s accomplishments and a clear outline of deliverables and implementation strategies. A detailed presentation of AUN-QA results highlighted both institutional strengths and priority areas for enhancement, reinforcing a data-driven approach to improvement.

A key segment focused on developing Program Educational Objectives (PEOs), intended to track graduates’ long-term professional and leadership outcomes. Breakout groups further analyzed AUN-QA recommendations based on impact, feasibility, and urgency, producing structured action plans with designated responsible units.

The workshop concluded with a synthesis session aligning all outputs into a unified strategy. ASMPH reaffirmed its goal of strengthening its MD-MBA program as a regional benchmark for excellence in medical and leadership education.
