Khalifa University Celebrates Medical Students at 2026 Hippocratic Oath Ceremony

Khalifa University celebrated a major milestone as 40 graduating medical students from its College of Medicine and Health Sciences took the Hippocratic Oath during a special ceremony held at the university’s main campus. The event marked the graduates’ formal commitment to the ethical values and professional standards of the medical profession.

Senior university leaders, including H.E. Homaid Al Shimmari, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, H.E. Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University, and Prof. Habiba Alsafar, Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, attended the ceremony alongside faculty members and families.

The Class of 2026 achieved the highest U.S. Medical Licensing Examination pass rate and the program’s highest-ever Step 2 average score of 247. Representing 16 nationalities, the graduating cohort reflects the UAE’s diverse and growing healthcare talent pipeline.

Among the graduates, 21 have already secured residency placements at hospitals in the United States and Canada across competitive specialties such as surgery, pediatrics, neurology, and internal medicine. The remaining graduates have applied for residency positions within the UAE.

University leaders praised the graduates for their dedication and emphasized their role in strengthening the UAE’s future healthcare system.
