Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siraprapa Mahanil Receives Recognition at Internationally Outstanding Inventors Awards Ceremony

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siraprapa Mahanil of the School of Science at Mae Fah Luang University received recognition at the Internationally Outstanding Inventors Awards Ceremony on August 14, 2025. The event took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok and was organized by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) as part of the MHESI Fair 2025.

Award Presentation

The award was presented by Prof. Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI). Dr. Wiparat De-ong, Executive Director of NRCT, also offered congratulations to the recipients during the ceremony.

Research Recognition

Dr. Mahanil was acknowledged for her research project titled “Endophytic Fungi-Based Biofertilizer for Enhancing Nutrient Uptake and Stimulating Plant Growth.” This project earned a Silver Medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, which was held from April 9 to 13, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland. The research focuses on the use of microbiology to develop eco-friendly biofertilizers aimed at improving nutrient absorption, promoting plant growth, and decreasing reliance on chemical fertilizers. This work contributes to sustainable agricultural practices and highlights the capability of Thai researchers to drive scientific innovations that address environmental challenges.
