HCMUTE Signs MoU with LOGISYS and E3 VINA for Green Transition and Electric Infrastructure Development in Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) has entered into a partnership with LOGISYS and E3 VINA Co., Ltd., formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on June 24, 2025. The primary objective of this collaboration is to advance projects related to electric infrastructure and to enhance environmental awareness among students, faculty, and researchers.

Signing Ceremony and Strategic Initiative

The signing ceremony was held in Meeting Room 1 and is regarded as a strategic initiative aimed at fostering cooperation with both local and international businesses. The MoU delineates future agreements focused on several key activities, including the establishment of electric motorbike and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on the HCMUTE campus, the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies, and the organization of technical training, internships, and practical projects that connect the university with industry.

Delegation and Representation

The HCMUTE delegation included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh, Vice President; Dr. Huynh Phuoc Son from the Corporate Relations Office; and other significant faculty members from the university’s Engineering departments. LOGISYS was represented by CEO Lee Ho Sung and Vice CEO Lee Sang Chen, while E3 VINA was represented by CEO Paik Jong Su and several other managerial staff.

Significance of Partnerships

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chau Dinh Thanh highlighted the significance of such partnerships, noting that they would offer practical opportunities for students by providing access to advanced technologies and hands-on experience aligned with the changing demands of the job market.

LOGISYS CEO Lee Ho Sung acknowledged the partnership, emphasizing the company’s commitment to delivering advanced technological solutions in electric vehicles and infrastructure. He noted that such initiatives are vital for preparing the next generation of engineers.

E3 VINA CEO Paik Jong Su similarly stressed the company’s commitment to utilizing its expertise in developing smart electric vehicle ecosystems to promote sustainable transportation solutions in partnership with HCMUTE.

This MoU is a key component of HCMUTE’s strategic efforts to engage in industry partnerships, particularly in the context of a global emphasis on green transformation and sustainable transportation development. The university anticipates that this collaboration will provide significant benefits to its students, facilitating real-world experiences and enhancing their professional skills relevant to the international labor market.

LOGISYS and E3 VINA Overview

LOGISYS, headquartered in South Korea, specializes in the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle charging stations, operating a wide network within public and governmental sectors. The company has recently extended its operations into Vietnam through its subsidiary KCI.VINA, based in Hanoi.

E3 VINA is recognized as a leader in Vietnam’s electric two-wheeler development sector, with a focus on establishing battery-swapping station ecosystems and smart technologies designed to promote sustainable transportation. The company is actively working to broaden its presence across Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Through these partnerships, HCMUTE aims to equip its students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the green transition and support overarching goals related to sustainable development.
